United States: As an organization that grounds its beliefs and actions in logic, reason, and common sense, we are not advocating for the closure of a business when we “boycott” it for adopting “woke” policies or taking positions we disagree with.
Our stance is simple: we refuse to contribute our hard-earned money to those who publicly denounce us for our differing views. This is a matter of principle and a conscious decision to withhold our financial support from such entities, according to reports.
Let’s be clear: our actions are not a manifestation of ‘cancel culture’ but a demonstration of the power of capitalism. We are exercising our right as consumers to choose where our money goes based on our values and beliefs.
Political analyst and filmmaker Robby Starbuck criticized automaker Toyota for its “woke” policies and practices in both list and video form.
In the post, Starbucks stated, “@Toyota has been one of the most trusted brands in America, but they’ve gone totally woke.”
He continues by outlining the information they gathered about Toyota and the “causes” they financially support via sponsorships and public declarations of support, highlighting their involvement with the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). This group leans left and is hated by the right.
Among other troubling things, Starbucks stated, “Toyota funded the @HRC’s Time To Thrive Summit where they worked with the largest teachers union to push gender ideology into elementary schools,” as per reports.
According to the report, Toyota is an ardent supporter of DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) and LGBTQ+ causes and stances.
“A total commitment to DEI policies,” Starbucks also listed. “100/100 CEI score [Corporate Equality Index] from the HRC for 16 straight years, which means that they pay for not only employee transitions but for children of employees to transition in states where it’s legal.”
Those are just some insane stances that Toyota supports and endorses.
