A Kremlin representative declined to acknowledge or reject the information that President Trump spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin, as reported by the US leader on the weekend.
Trump has declared his ability to stop the ongoing conflict that Russia began when they invaded Ukraine three years ago.
A United States presidential envoy revealed to the media on Monday while constructing a peace proposal. A Russian senior official declared that the Kremlin continues to accept settlement discussions, although any peace agreement must adhere to Putin’s conditions.
Trump disclosed his direct correspondence with Putin during his Sunday media interview. The United States government has refrained from confirming presidential dialogues between American and Russian leaders since Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine.

But, on asking if he had a dialogue with Putin, Trump stated, “I’ve had it. Let’s just say I’ve had it … And I expect to have many more conversations.”
As he disclosed over the weekend, Trump asserted that United States forces were advancing with their efforts to start peace discussions aimed at putting an end to the conflict but did not share any specific information.

As per Trump, “If we are talking, I don’t want to tell you about the conversations,” aljazeera.com reported.
“I do believe we’re making progress. We want to stop the Ukraine-Russia war,” he stated while adding that Washington is also in touch with Ukraine on the matter.
During his presidential campaign launch, Trump often declared his readiness to resolve the conflict rapidly.
Keith Kellogg, from Trump’s presidential campaign, stated in a Semafor interview that he and his colleagues work with allies and NATO representatives to create a peace plan for Trump’s assessment.
Concerns among senior officials from Ukraine and across Europe exist that Trump aims to exclude them from peace talks regarding the war and then pressure Ukraine to surrender ground.
Russia has maintained a repeated declaration about its refusal to change its position.
